Frequently Asked Questions

1.

Are you a licensed health care provider?

Yes.  Since January 2020, I recieved my degree and am practicing in the state of Utah as an Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor.  ACMHC.  In a few years I will gather the hours and experience to be fully licensed as a CMHC in Utah.  In other states the title or "alphabet soup" may be different.  I see clients two days a week and I primarily focus on counseling for late teens and adults.  I also do some couples or family work too.  You can set up an appointment at 801-525-4645 or go to Aspireut.com.

2.

Why are you offering this book for free?

I want to be the first source for anxiety sufferers.  I will not be satisfied until this book is the best product on the market.  I am looking for feedback from other anxiety sufferers to make the book better before it goes to print.  In time, this book will be sold like any other best-selling and award-winning book.

3.

What makes you an expert on this topic?

I have been in your shoes.  There are two things that make my experience unique.  How many men do you know that have survived breast cancer?  I have, but more importantly, how many pilots do you know that were at one time afraid to fly?  I have overcome so much and with my background as a top flight instructor in the U.S. Air Force, I feel I have a unique ability to get anxiety sufferers the information and recommendations they need. AS an added benefit, I went to school and I see clients weekly to talk about this subject matter.

4.

If I get help from a therapist, why do I need this book?

Your mental health care providers only have so much time with you.  Consider this book homework.  It will cover many topics and tips that will then allow you to ask your therapist or doctor better questions.  It allows critical topics to be explained from the perspective of a person who went through this and is not full of complex technical jargon.  Additionally, many people shy away from seeing a therapist.  I think in many cases this is a mistake and keeps the person from getting out of the mental ditch they are in.  I will explain what a therapist can do for you and what to expect.  The rest is up to you.

5.

What would I get from reading this book?

The overall goal is to get you to a better life that has a more healthy relationship with fear and anxiety.  I will do this by first letting you know you are not alone if you suffer from fear and anxiety.  I will tell you a great deal about my story and I will try not to bore you. Second, I hope to inspire you to take the journey and get to a better life like I did. Lastly, I will talk about all the key aspects that came together to get me pretty dramatic results.

6.

What separates this book from others on anxiety?

While there are numerous books on the market written by highly educated scholars, most of these books are painful to read because they are SO LONG AND BORING!  I intend to keep you entertained as well as giving you an entire process to follow.  There are specific tasks you will need to do throughout the book that will take you through the process.  This book is not meant to give you TIPS.  It was written to inspire you to take action and get the progress you deserve.  Nobody should have to live in this personal hell.

7.

I have downloaded the book, what now?

Well, read it.  Then I want honest feedback.  Do not tell me what you THINK I want to hear.  I am fully confident you will love it.  But I am also sure I can do better.  So just call it like you see it.  If you couldn't finish it because it couldn't hold your interest, then say so.  I have a simple questionnaire for you to fill out and send to me.  I thank you in advance for your input and I wish you good luck.

8.

Really, that's it?  It's free?  No charging my credit card, no signing up for a subscription, no shipping and handling, no spamming with ads for herbal supplements and other special offers?  Nothing?

Nope.  That's it.  Just give me your feedback.  I will be expanding the service and line of products over time, but this book is the flagship product.  It has to be great and I intend to make it that way.

9.

How fast do you want me to get back to you?

I think 45 days is very reasonable.  Sooner is better, but no need to pull an all-nighter.  I want you committed to reading through the book in its entirety and giving me good feedback.

10.

Will you use my comments on the book in future marketing?

Maybe.  At no time will your full name or email be used.  I intend to use initials or some other vague reference to credit your glowing and enthusiastic gushing over my work!

11.

How long will it take me to start LivingConfident?

There is no way to put a specific time on it.  Knowledge, persistence, and a good attitude will be your key ingredients.  I am very confident this book will improve your relationship with anxiety.  I continue to work on this every day.  Each day is better than the last and I don't expect to ever stop working on this.  You will see that improving your situation will bring you more confidence which will improve your situation even faster.  I have a great life now.  You can do what I did.

12.

Isn't this what an editor does?

Yes.  I am sure my future editor will take this book to new heights.  However, this person may or may not be an anxiety sufferer.  I am not looking for input on format, spelling, or giving it more eye appeal.  I want your input on the entire project.  Was it interesting?  Did it hold your attention?  Do you disagree with my conclusions?  Did I address your needs?  Did it make positive change for you?

13.

What is up with the dog?

That is Cocoa.  He is our family dog.  He is a mix or fake chocolate lab.  We got him from the shelter in 2007.  We estimated his age then was a year old.  He is still around.  We love him!
